LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's basketball head coach
Kayla Ard announced the signing of Carlie Latta, a 5-foot-10 guard out of Paul, Idaho.
"We're incredibly excited to add CJ to the family," Ard said. "Her length on the perimeter and ability to shoot the ball is going to be a great addition to the roster. She is a great kid that absolutely loves basketball. We can't wait to have her in an Aggie jersey."
Latta is a four-year letterwinner at Minico High School in Rupert, Idaho. As a senior, she was named the Idaho 4A Player of the Year after averaging 25 points, 5.3 rebounds and four assists per game. She is a three-time all-state and all-conference selection, and led the Spartans to a district championship in 2022.
Latta owns the all-time Idaho 4A state tournament scoring record, after totaling 95 points with 31.7 points per game during three contests in the 2023 tournament. In addition to her prep career, she also plays club basketball for Tree of Home Idaho.
