LOGAN, Utah — Utah State men's tennis swept Weber State, 7-0, at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club on Sunday to stay undefeated at home this season. 

The Aggies began the day by securing the doubles point via wins at the second and third positions.  At the No. 3 doubles position, seniors Roko Savin and Jack Ninteman posted a 6-4 win just before freshman Nuno Pinheiro and junior Stijn Paardekooper recorded a 6-4 victory of their own on court two. Seniors David Cierny and Bodin Zarkovic's doubles match on court one was left unfinished with a 5-5 score. 

During singles play, USU earned points in straight-set wins at the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth positions. 

On court one, David Cierny posted a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 victory and was the only Aggie to play a third set. 

At the second position, senior Bodin Zarkovic swiftly won his match in a 6-2, 6-4 win. 

At the No. 3 spot, Paardekooper recorded a 7-5, 6-2 score and was the second Aggie to finish, putting Roko Savin in position to clinch the match. 

Over on court four, Savin was able to clinch the win for Utah State by posting a 6-2 first set and then winning the final two points of the second set for a 7-5 victory. 

Pinheiro took the fifth position match in a 6-4, 6-2 win over his Wildcat opponent which finalized the sweep for the Aggies as senior Javier Ruiz posted a 6-3, 6-0 win a few minutes before Pinheiro's match ended. 

Utah State men's tennis remains at home at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club to take on Nevada Friday, March 31, at 12 p.m. (MT) for their Mountain West opener.
