LOGAN, Utah - Utah State head men's basketball coach Ryan Odom has been named a finalist for the 2022-23 Skip Prosser Man of the Year award finalist, as announced by CollegeInsider.com on Monday.

The Skip Prosser Man of the Year award honors those who not only achieve success on the basketball court, but who display moral integrity off of it, as well.

Odom is one of 25 finalists for the award, which will be presented in March at the Houston, Texas, site of the men's NCAA Basketball Championship.

Odom is in his second season with the Aggies and has a 42-23 overall record. This season, Odom has led USU to a 24-7 mark, including 13-5 in conference play to tie for second in the Mountain West. He has coached a 2022-23 Utah State squad to rank fourth in the nation in both 3-point percentage (.401) and effective field goal percentage (.571), while the Aggies also rank 10th nationally in assists per game (16.9). USU leads the MW in 3-point field goal percentage (.401), 3-pointers made per game (9.55), effective field goal percentage (.571), assists per game (16.94) and scoring margin (+9.06).

The Skip Prosser Man of the Year award is named in honor of the late Skip Prosser, former coach at Wake Forest, Xavier and Loyola (Md.). Prosser averaged 21 wins per season in his six years at Wake Forest. He passed away of an apparent heart attack on July 26, 2007, in his office at Wake Forest.

Utah State now travels to take part in the 2023 Mountain West Championships at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The third-seeded Aggies will play the first-round winner of sixth-seeded New Mexico and 11th-seeded Wyoming on Thursday, March 9, at 9:30 p.m. (MT).
