LOGAN, Utah — Utah State head women's basketball coach Kayla Ard announced the signing of five incoming players on Wednesday.

The Aggies will welcome in Skye Miller (Anchorage, Alaska/McKay HS/Eastern Arizona College), Livia Knapp (Aloha, Oregon/Liberty HS/College of Southern Idaho), Samiana Suguturaga (Orem, Utah/Mountain View HS/Snow College), Bridget Mullings (Phoenix, Arizona/Greenway HS/UC San Diego) and Lauren Crocker (Perry, Arizona/Perry HS) in advance of the 2023-24 season.

Miller, a 5-foot-11 guard, will join USU as a junior after spending the past season at EAC.

"Skye is such an all-around player on the court," Ard said. "She can score the ball on all three levels and is one of the best passers I've ever seen. Her skill set is a tremendous addition to our team. She makes everyone around her better. We are so fired up to welcome Skye to Logan."

Miller appeared in 24 games for the Monsters this past season, starting in 21. She averaged 14.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists while playing 28.2 minutes per game. Miller was named to the NJCAA All-American second team and was named the Region Championship MVP. Miller helped EAC to a 29-2 record and berth in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.

"When I first showed up in Logan and on campus, I really liked the atmosphere; it felt like home," Miller said. "When I met the coaching staff, I fell in love with their vision of the program, their openness and honesty. I knew these are the people I want to go into battle with and I knew I wanted to be an Aggie."

Knapp, a 5-foot-6 point guard, will come to USU as a junior after spending last season at CSI. Knapp also spent her freshman campaign at Central Wyoming College.

"Liv is such a fierce competitor and lives in the gym," Ard said. "Her work ethic and will to win are among some of her best attributes. We are so happy to have Liv joining the Aggies."

Knapp appeared in all 34 games for CSI last season, starting in 31, and helped lead the Golden Eagles to their second-ever Final Four appearance at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. Knapp averaged 9.3 points per game and led the team with 3.9 assists per contest. Knapp was named second-team all-Scenic West Athletic Conference and second-team all-Region 18 as the team won both the SWAC regular season and tournament titles. Knapp was also named MVP of the Region 18 tournament.

"I'm super excited to become an Aggie because I've always dreamed of playing Division I basketball," Knapp said. "I chose USU because they are giving me the opportunity to prove that I can compete at the next level."

Suguturaga, a 5-foot-11 forward, joins the Aggies as a junior after spending three years at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah.

"We are so excited to welcome Sami to the family," Ard said. "Utah State Aggies run in her family as her father played football here. I am so glad she chose to keep the tradition going. Sami is a very mature young lady with great leadership qualities. Her competitiveness and determination are going to be infectious within our program."

Suguturaga started 42 games the past two seasons for the Badgers and appeared in 71 total contests for Snow College. The native of Orem, Utah, led Snow College last season with 13.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game, and was named Region 18 first team. Suguturaga played at Mountain View HS in Orem, Utah, where she was named second-team all-state (5A), first team all-region and led her team to the state semifinals.

"I chose Utah State because I want to continue my basketball career and grow as a player and a person surrounded by people who will make me better!" Suguturaga said. "I'm excited to be an Aggie!"

Mullings, a 6-foot-3 center, joins USU as a junior from UCSD, where she started 12 and appeared in 53 games across two seasons.

"We are happy to welcome Bridget to the family," Ard said. "She is a powerful post player that can really help us compete in the paint on both ends of the floor in the Mountain West. Bringing her D1 collegiate experience to the team will benefit us in multiple ways."

Mullings averaged 5.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game last season for the Tritons while shooting 48 percent from the field and 31 percent from 3-point range. The native of Phoenix, Arizona, played at Greenway HS and averaged a double-double in each of her last two seasons. Mullings averaged 19.0 points and 15.1 rebounds per game as a sophomore before averaging 18.6 points and 14.8 rebounds during her junior year. She was named first-team all-region in both 2018 and 2019, and was named MVP of the 2021 Grind Session Championship.

"I chose to be an Aggie because I feel like I finally found my home away from home," Mullings said. "With coaches who care and such a beautiful campus, who wouldn't want to be part of this program?"

Crocker, a 6-foot-4 center, joins the Aggies as a freshman out of Perry HS in Gilbert, Arizona.

"Lauren is a great addition to our roster," Ard said. "She is a great person from a great family. We are thrilled to be adding her size and abilities to the roster. We cannot wait to have her competing in the Spectrum."

Crocker joined Perry HS for her senior season and averaged 9.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. She also added 1.8 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.1 steals per contest, helping the Pumas to a 26-3 record and a first-place finish in the 6A Premier Section. Crocker recorded five double-doubles during the year to help Perry HS to the state semifinals.

"I'm excited to join Utah State because of the culture they provide for their athletes," Crocker said. "They set everyone up for success. The coaching staff is amazing and very fun to be around. They also care about their players as people. I'm excited to be an Aggie."
