Box Score BOISE, Idaho – Utah State softball (15-20, 6-8 Mountain West) lost 11-2 to Boise State (25-12, 11-2 MW) on Friday.

The Aggies got on the board first as an RBI single to right field from freshman left fielder Jaden Colunga gave USU a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.

Utah State maintained the lead until a three-run third inning for Boise State gave the Broncos a two-run edge. Colunga answered in the top of the third with another RBI single to trim the deficit to one, but Boise State turned around to score eight runs in the bottom of the frame and held on for the 11-2 win.

Three Aggie freshman saw time in the circle on Friday in Hailey McLean, Sydney Saldaña and Tess Bumiller.
