LOGAN, Utah — Utah State men's tennis earned their second conference win in an exciting 4-1 victory over San Diego State on Saturday. 

Utah State's earned their first point of the day in a tight doubles matchup. Junior Stijn Paardekooper and freshman Nuno Pinheiro took court two's match in a 6-3 win. At the No. 1 spot, seniors David Cierny and Bodin Zarkovic capped out a 7-6 (4) tiebreaker win to secure the doubles point, leaving seniors Jack Ninteman and Javier Ruiz's match unfinished while ahead 6-5. 

In singles play, the Aggies clinched the match via straight set wins on courts one, two, and four. 

Zarkovic set the tone for the Aggies in the singles matches with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over his Aztec opponent on court two. 

At the top spot, Cierny was the next Aggie to take a point with his 6-3, 6-2 win over San Diego State's Chikaya Sato to put teammate Roko Savin in clinching position. 

Minutes later at court four, Savin's 6-2, 6-3 victory advanced the Aggies' home undefeated streak to 7-0 to start the season. 

The Utah State men's tennis team will continue Mountain West play next week as they host No. 69-ranked New Mexico on Sunday, April 16, at 12 p.m. (MT) at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.
