LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer head coach Manny Martins has announced a partnership with Be Your Best, a virtual reality soccer training company based out of Norway.

"I am thrilled about our partnership with Be Your Best and bringing cutting-edge virtual reality cognitive training to our players," Martins said. "Together, we are shaping the future of soccer development and revolutionizing the way athletes reach their full potential. This innovative approach not only elevates our training methods, but also demonstrates our unwavering commitment to pursuing excellence."

Be Your Best aims to improve a player's awareness, vision, decision-making and cognitive skills by guiding the player through on-pitch scenarios taken from real-life matches. The program can provide feedback and track individual performance over time. By focusing on improving a player's cognitive abilities, Be Your Best allows players to train even while injured.

Utah State is the first university in the United States to partner with Be Your Best. The company also works with professional players and teams from across Europe, including Arsenal of the English Premier League, Borussia Dortmund of Germany's Bundesliga, and many others.

The partnership comes on the heels of the Aggies also employing the use of the TopSpin360 impact helmets. The helmets, designed to prevent and lessen the chance of head injuries, is part of an ongoing commitment from coaches and the university to prioritize player safety and overall health.
