LOGAN, Utah – Utah State football will have eight games nationally televised this fall, including three on Friday, as the Mountain West announced its national television package Wednesday.
Utah State will have six games televised by CBS Sports Network, including two at home on Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium, and two games televised by Fox Sports, both of which will be road outings.
During the non-conference portion of its schedule, Utah State will open its season on Fox Sports 1 at Iowa on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. (MT), while its game at UConn on Saturday, Sept. 30, will be televised on CBS Sports Network at 10 a.m. (MT).
Six of Utah State's eight Mountain West games will be televised on either CBS Sports Network or one of the Fox Sports Networks, which includes three games being played on Friday.
In all, Utah State will have five Mountain West games broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network, beginning with its conference opener at Air Force on Friday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m. USU's home game against Fresno State has also been moved up a day as the Aggies will host the Bulldogs on Friday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. And, USU's regular season finale at New Mexico will be played on Friday, Nov. 24, at 1:30 p.m.
Utah State will also have a pair of Saturday games on CBS Sports Network this fall as it plays at San José State on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 5 p.m. (MT), and hosts Boise State in its home finale on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m.
Additionally, Utah State's game at San Diego State on Saturday, Nov. 4, will be televised on one of the Fox Sports Networks. Kick time and specific broadcast information for this game will be announced at a later date.
Broadcast information for the remainder of Utah State's 2023 schedule, which includes home games against Idaho State on Saturday, Sept. 9, James Madison on Saturday, Sept. 23, Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 7, and Nevada on Saturday, Nov. 11, will be announced later this summer.
The 2023 Mountain West season will feature a single-division format for the first time since 2012, and the two teams with the highest Conference win percentage will compete in the championship game. The MW Championship game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2. The game will be televised live on Fox with a 1 p.m. (MT) kickoff.
