SAN JOSE, California - Utah State softball lost 2-0 to San José State on Thursday night.
After a nearly 90-minute rain delay, the Aggies and Spartans went scoreless through the first 5.5 innings. At least one Aggie was able to get into scoring position in five of the seven innings, but was unable to make it home.
SJSU scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead and held on for the 2-0 win.
Freshman Hailey McLean pitched a complete game for the Aggies, recording nine strikeouts during her time in the circle.
