FRESNO, California — Utah State women's basketball (3-13, 0-5 MW) lost to Fresno State Saturday afternoon, falling 90-64 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.
Eleven Aggies scored in the contest, including a team-high 17-point outing by
Cheyenne Stubbs. The junior guard has now led the team's scoring efforts in 13 of 16 games this season, and has reached double-figures 13 times. She was followed in the scoring column by junior guards

Despite shooting 46.2 percent (6-of-13) in the first quarter with five different players getting in the scoring column, the Aggies were hindered by six turnovers to face an uphill climb from early in the contest. After a quarter, the Bulldogs held a 25-14 advantage, 12 of those points coming off of turnovers.
Utah State strung together eight-straight points early in at 15-15 second quarter to bring the deficit within two possessions, but fell cold as it closed the quarter making just one of its final nine shots heading into the break. At the half, it was a 40-29 advantage for the host Bulldogs.
A 15-1 run to open the second half broke things open for Fresno State, as the Bulldogs posted a 33-14 third quarter. Despite winning the final quarter 21-17, the deficit was too large to overcome for the Aggies.
Utah State finished the contest shooting 38.2 percent (21-of-55) from the floor, 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from 3-point range and 68.0 percent (17-of-25) at the charity stripe.
