LOGAN, Utah – Former Utah State volleyball setter
Beatriz Rodrigues has signed a professional contract with the Sporting Club of Portugal. Rodrigues spent three years playing volleyball for the club prior to her arrival at Utah State.
Rodrigues played three seasons for Utah State from 2021-23, appearing in 88 matches and logging 1,708 assists, 536 digs, 108 service aces, 12 kills and a block during her career. Her 107 career service aces rank seventh all-time in program history. Her 42 aces in 2022 are tied for sixth on the single-season record list, while her 41 aces in 2023 are tied for eighth.
Rodrigues helped lead the Aggies to three-straight Mountain West titles as they were the regular season champions in 2023, tournament champions in 2022 and shared the regular season title in 2021. In her final season, Rodrigues logged 553 assists, 172 digs, 41 service aces and five kills. She had two double-doubles during the season and finished her career with 15 double-doubles.
Rodrigues is a two-time College Sports Communicator Academic all-District, Academic all-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honoree.
