LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head softball coach Todd Judge announced the signing of six players to the team's 2025-26 roster on Wednesday. Signees include pitcher Kendall Cochran (Mesa, Arizona), pitcher Jordyn Lish (Modesto, California), outfielder Haylee Lopez (San Tan Valley, Arizona), infielder/outfielder Ryan Pead (Saratoga Springs, Utah), infielder/pitcher Jazmin Ramirez (Chandler, Arizona) and catcher/infielder Sofia Trejo (Tucson, Arizona).
"The 2025 class has met all the needs and wants we were hoping for in a recruiting class," Judge said. "It has highly-ranked pitchers who can come in and compete immediately. It has middle infielders who are extremely athletic and have great offensive skills. It has players that can go get the ball in the outfield and make the field look small with their speed and arm strength. It also gives us depth at the catcher position. This class can be a game-changing class for Utah State."

Cochran tallied 31 wins, 193 strikeouts, and a 3.30 ERA in 45 starts during the 2023-24 club season.
HEAD COACH TODD JUDGE ON COCHRAN:
"Kendall is as highly ranked of a player as you can ask for coming out of high school into college. Kendall is already, at a very young age, a complete pitcher. Her ability to throw with great spin, spots and speed is what differentiates her. She has played at the highest level of club ball for years. We could not be more excited to get this player to Logan, as what she will bring to our already strong pitching staff will be something to see."
Jordyn Lish - Pitcher - Modesto, California - Fred C. Beyer HS
Lish is a four-time letterwinner at Fred C. Beyer High School in Modesto, California. She earned all-conference honorable mention honors as a freshman in 2022, second-team all-conference honors as a sophomore in 2023, and first-team all-conference honors as a junior in 2024. Lish has pitched to a 2.09 ERA with 285 strikeouts while allowing just three home runs in 211.1 innings pitched in her career.
Lish played club softball for Grapettes in Woodland, California, under coach Bryan Merrida. She compiled a 2.14 ERA in the fall club season of 2023 and a 2.33 ERA in the summer season of 2024.
"Jordyn is a pitcher who projects in the years to come to be a high-level DI pitcher. Jordyn is six-feet tall and left-handed, and has a tremendous variety of pitches. Her upside is something that will be fun to coach over the next four years. Jordyn has played at a very high level of club ball, which will help with her transition into college. We cannot wait to see her compete in Logan."
Haylee Lopez – Outfield - San Tan Valley, Arizona - Poston Butte HS
Lopez is a four-time letterwinner at Poston Butte High School in San Tan Valley, Arizona, where she has helped lead the Broncos to three-straight Arizona 4A state tournament appearances in 2022, 2023 and 2024. She earned all-county honors and was named the region's offensive player of the year as a junior after posting a .538 batting average with 43 hits, 37 RBIs, 15 doubles, eight triples and four home runs. Her team went 25-5 overall and undefeated in region play in her freshman season in 2022.
Lopez has played club softball for Arizona Storm in Phoenix, Arizona, since 2018, where she has helped her team win PGF National Berths every season. In 2023, she had a .345 batting average with 59 hits, 27 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases.
HEAD COACH TODD JUDGE ON LOPEZ:
"Haylee has the ability to play multiple positions. We think Haylee is exactly the type of player we are looking for to continue to build upon the recruiting classes now and before this year. Haylee has elite speed and can cover ground in the outfield. She can also play small ball and use her speed, or can hit for average and power. Her work ethic and attitude to the game is going to be a big plus for us."
Ryan Pead - Infield/Outfield - Saratoga Springs, Utah- Westlake HS
Pead is a four-time letterwinner at Westlake High School in Saratoga Springs, Utah. She earned second-team all-state honors in 2023 and 2024, along with all-state honorable mention and Female Rookie of the Year honors in 2022. She has batted .516 for her career with 116 hits, 61 extra-base hits and 99 RBIs.
Pead has played club softball for California Cruisers in Irvine, California, since 2023. She batted .306 in the 2023 summer season and improved to a .375 batting average in the fall.
HEAD COACH TODD JUDGE ON PEAD:
"Ryan has great instincts for the game and an elite college arm. Ryan can play middle infield for us, or she will be able to transition into the outfield. Ryan has a great attitude toward the game and her work ethic is what we are looking for. Her upside is huge as I believe she is just starting to see what kind of player she can be at the next level. Ryan can be very gritty out at the plate and we are excited to continue to see her grow with her offensive skills."
Jazmin Ramirez - Infield/Pitcher - Chandler, Arizona - Hamilton HS
Ramirez is a three-year letterwinner at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona, where she has helped lead the Huskies to an Arizona 6A state runner-up finish in 2022 and a top four finish in 2024. She earned all-district and all-section honors as a pitcher and was named as her team MVP in 2023. In her career, she has batted .333 with 11 home runs and 61 RBIs and pitched to a 2.72 ERA with 248 strikeouts.
Ramirez played eight years of club softball, including for Arizona Storm in Phoenix, Arizona, and Top Gun in Kansas City, Missouri. She helped her team to a PGF top-five finish in 2022 and a PGF top-10 finish in 2023, where she earned All-American honors for MIF. Ramirez was also named to the Extra Innings All-Summer Team in 2022 and as a PGF All-American finalist in 2024. During her 2024 club season, Ramirez had a .400 batting average with five home runs and 22 RBIs.
HEAD COACH TODD JUDGE ON RAMIREZ:
"Jazmin has been a standout player since she was young. Her many awards at the club level and in high school show what kind of player she has been. Jazmin has a high softball IQ and plays with passion. She can hit in the middle part of the order and has tremendous power and will also hit for average. She can play both middles and, if need be, both corners, but what differentiates her from other players is that she is also an elite pitcher. She will have the chance to do both at the DI level, which shows what type of an athlete she is."
Sofia Trejo - Catcher/Infield - Tucson, Arizona - Tucson High Magnet School
Trejo is a three-year letterwinner at Tucson High Magnet School in Tucson, Arizona, where she has helped lead the Badgers to back-to-back Arizona 6A region titles in 2023 and 2024. She earned all-state honors and was named the Southwest Desert Player of the Year as a junior after posting a .372 batting average with eight home runs, 31 RBIs, and catching 10 baserunners stealing.
Trejo played 10 years of club softball, most recently with Arizona Storm in Phoenix, Arizona, under coach Corey Mathis. In 2023, she helped her team to a platinum berth in the PGF National Championships. During her club career, Trejo has earned both all-district first team and second team honors.
HEAD COACH TODD JUDGE ON TREJO:
"Sofia has a lot of upsides with her athleticism and work ethic. She has an elite arm behind the plate. She is extremely athletic and is just starting to show what she is capable of. I believe she can be a middle infielder or catcher at the DI level and can hit for power and average. She fits the mold of what we are continuing to recruit, which is great athletes, but also great people with high work ethic."
