LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head volleyball coach
Rob Neilson announced the signing of three players on Wednesday.
The incoming trio includes Hailey Spencer (San Diego, California / Del Norte High School), Sadie Warren (Wylie, Texas / Wylie High School) and Ava Martin (Twin Falls, Idaho / Twin Falls High School).
"With so many young contributors this season," Neilson said, "we had the opportunity to be very selective in our 2025 class and find players that are not only great players, but will be great additions to our culture and will contribute in very specific ways to the success of our program. We couldn't be more excited for Sadie, Ava and Hailey to join the Aggie Volleyball Family."
Spencer, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter, is a four-year letterwinner at Del Norte HS in San Diego. As a junior last season, Spencer helped lead the team to a 24-15 record and a second-place finish in the SoCal region of the state playoffs while ranking second on the team with 2.3 kills per set and third with 1.8 digs per set. She was named all-league honorable mention as a junior. She was named to the SoCal Invitational All-Tournament Team as a freshman. This season as a senior, Spencer was selected as a team captain. She also played at the club level for the Wave, where the team placed third at the Red Rock Invitational Tournament.
Warren, A 5-4 libero and defensive specialist, has played four years at Wylie (Texas) High School. Over her career, she has compiled 1,131 digs, 196 service aces and 152 assists. This past season as a senior, she recorded 441 digs, averaged 4.0 per set, and added 51 aces and 80 assists while helping the team to a 34-8 record and a spot in the regional semifinals of the 2024 UIL Texas Volleyball State Championships. She was named first-team all-district and the district server of the year, as well as being named team MVP and best defensive player. Warren also served as team captain in both her junior and senior seasons. She played at the club level for Skyline 18 Black where she was named the best defensive player four years running and helped the team to a third-place finish at the 16 National Division of GJNC 2023 and a fifth-place finish at the 17 USA Division of GJNC 2024.
Martin, a 6-2 middle blocker, is a three-year letterwinner at Twin Falls (Idaho) High School. She was named to the all-district team three times during her career, helping the team to qualify for the state tournament in each season she played. This past season, Martin recorded a .195 hitting percentage and averaged 2 blocks per game while helping the Bruins to the 5A Idaho State championship. Martin also played at the club level for the Idaho Crush and helped the team reach the Sweet 16 at the 14-17s Junior National Championships in back-to-back years. Martin also played basketball at Twin Falls HS for four years and was thrice named to the all-district team.
