LOGAN, Utah – Utah State safety
Jordan Vincent was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in USU's 55-10 Mountain West home win against Hawai'i on Saturday afternoon. It is Vincent's first-ever conference honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jordan Vincent, Safety (5-10, 190, Sr., Chicago, Ill.)
- Led Utah State with five tackles and a career-high two interceptions in its 55-10 Mountain West home win against Hawaii.
- Helped Utah State's defense hold Hawaii to 10 points and 309 yards of total offense, including 47 rushing yards, all of which are season lows for an Aggie opponent.
- Was part of an Aggie defense that forced a season-high five turnovers, all interceptions. In fact, those five interceptions are the most by an Aggie defense since it had a school-record-tying seven interceptions against Idaho in 1971.
