LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's tennis head coach
Aaron Paajanen announced the signing of Eemil Pasanen, who will join the Aggie squad in January 2025.
"I'm excited for Eemil to join us in January," Paajanen said. "He is a very talented player with a lot of potential, and I can't wait to see how he contributes to the team this spring."
Pasanen, a native of Espoo, Finland, has an International Tennis Federation (ITF) juniors singles record of 21-24 and a doubles record of 3-8. During the 2023-24 season, he competed at Finland's highest level, recording a 5-2 singles record.
During his junior career, Pasanen posted several notable results, including quarterfinal wins at the J30 Tallinn and J100 Aizkraukle tournaments. He also reached the quarterfinals at the J30 Aizkraukle, J60 Riga, J100 Hanko, and J30 Tartu events.
Utah State men's tennis begins its 2025 season on Sunday, Jan. 19, as it will host Weber State at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.
