Box Score SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah State men's tennis team participated in the Utah Invitational, where freshmen Dmitri Goubin and Eliot Nobel each recorded four wins in singles and doubles play over the two days of matches on Friday and Saturday. The Aggies competed solely against the Utes.
 
On day one of the invitational, Nobel secured a singles victory over Dante Teramo in straight sets (6-2, 6-2), while Goubin earned a three-set win against Nico Calixto (6-1, 3-6, 6-4). Sophomore Keanu Rigby clinched a straight-set singles win over Chuck Frey (7-6(1), 7-6(5)), and freshman Roman Venger defeated Frey in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 6-4). In doubles play, Goubin and Nobel teamed up to defeat Teramo and Calixto 6-3. 
 
On day two, Goubin claimed another singles win against Frey (6-2, 3-6, 6-3), Venger defeated Calixto in two sets (6-4, 7-6(4)), and Nobel posted a straight-set victory over Frey (6-0, 6-1). Goubin and Nobel posted a win in doubles play, beating Jarvis and Frey 6-3.
 
Utah State is next in action when sophomore Mohammad Alkotop and senior David Martirosian travel to Rome, Georgia, from Nov. 7 to Nov. 10 for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Conference Masters Championships.
