Volleyball Places Four on All-Mountain West Lists

LOGAN, Utah – Four Utah State volleyball players were honored by the Mountain West on Tuesday, as graduate senior middle blocker Kelsey Watson, senior opposite side hitter Adna Mehmedovic and junior middle blocker Tierney Barlow were all named to the all-Mountain West team while freshman setter Kaylie Kofe received Honorable Mention.
 
Watson (Ballwin, Missouri) led the Aggies with 1.07 blocks per set during conference play, also ranking eighth in the Mountain West. Watson was also second on the team and ranked sixth in the conference with a .362 hitting percentage as she totaled 95 kills on 188 attempts while adding 60 total blocks and 19 digs during the conference season. Watson posted the high-water mark for USU this season with an .857 hitting percentage in the Aggies' sweep of UNLV.
 
Mehmedovic (Peoria, Arizona) leads Utah State with 2.77 kills and 3.22 points per set across the full season. During conference play, Mehmedovic has tallied 201 kills on 424 total attempts, recording a .316 hitting percentage. She also ranks third on the team with 53 total blocks versus MW opponents and has added 43 digs. Mehmedovic owns the third-highest single-match hitting percentage with at least 10 kills of anyone in the MW, recording a mark of .640 against Fresno State as she finished with 16 kills on 25 attempts with zero attack errors.
 
Barlow (Colorado Springs, Colorado) leads the Aggies and ranks second in the Mountain West with a .429 hitting percentage during conference play. Barlow also ranks ninth in league play with 0.99 blocks per set, ranking second on the team behind Watson. Barlow owns the highest single-match hitting percentage with at least 10 kills of anyone in the conference after recording a .667 hitting percentage at home against Boise State, finishing with 13 kills on 18 attempts. During MW play, Barlow has compiled 161 kills on 301 attempts along with 60 total blocks, 42 digs and 17 service aces. 
 
Kofe (Idaho Falls, Idaho) leads USU and ranks second in the Mountain West with 10.10 assists per set. She has recorded 11 double-doubles on the season, including nine during conference play. Kofe owns the top single-match marks among MW players for assists in a three-, four- and five-set match this season, finishing with 41 assists in USU's sweep of Fresno State, 52 assists in a four-match set against New Mexico, and 57 assists in the Aggies' five-set comeback win against UNLV. Kofe's 57 assists are the most by an Aggie in a single match since 2016. Across the conference season, Kofe finished with 727 assists alongside 42 kills, 150 digs, 30 blocks and 21 aces.

The Aggies head to Las Vegas to compete in the Mountain West Tournament as the conference's 3-seed. The Aggies will face sixth-seeded Boise State on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 5 p.m. (MT). Should USU advance, they would face second-seeded San José State on Friday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. (MT). The championship match is set for Saturday, Nov. 30, at 3 p.m. (MT).
