LOGAN, Utah – After helping Utah State men's basketball improve to 10-0 for its best start in program history last week, sophomore guard
Mason Falslev was named the Mountain West Player of the Week. This was the third time in the past four weeks Falslev has earned player of the week honors.
Falslev helped lead the Aggies to an 88-67 win over South Florida on Saturday, as he fell just shy of what would have been the fourth triple-double in program history. Falslev led the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals, going for 27 points, nine rebounds, a career-high nine assists and three steals.
In the win, he shot 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from the field, 50.0 percent (3-of-6) from 3-point range and 100 percent (4-of-4) at the free throw line.
Falslev and the Aggies are back in action tomorrow as they host UC San Diego on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m., at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
