LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball had four players named to the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team in graduate senior middle blocker 
Kelsey Watson, senior opposite side hitter 
Adna Mehmedovic, junior middle blocker 
Tierney Barlow and sophomore libero/defensive specialist 
Kendel Thompson.
 
Watson was named to the academic all-district team after recording a 3.88 GPA while majoring in psychology. Watson was named to the all-Mountain West  team this year after leading the Aggies with 1.10 blocks per set, totaling 101.0 total blocks to tie for the team lead. Watson added 133 kills on a .298 hitting percentage. Watson was selected to the academic all-MW team last season and was named a MW scholar-athlete. 
 
Mehmedovic earned the award for the second-straight year, earning a 3.64 GPA while majoring in health education and promotion. Mehmedovic was also named to the all-MW team this season after leading the team with 2.80 kills per set. Mehmedovic finished the season with a team-best 316 kills while hitting .279 and adding 60 digs and 83.0 total blocks. Mehmedovic is a three-time MW scholar-athlete and has twice been named academic all-MW.
 
Barlow received the honor after posting a 3.93 GPA while majoring in integrated studies. Barlow was named to the all-MW team for the second-straight season after leading USU with a .383 hitting percentage, also ranking second in the league during conference play. Barlow totaled 220 kills, 26 service aces and added 101.0 total blocks to tie for the team lead. Barlow is a two-time academic all-MW player and was also named a MW scholar-athlete in 2022.
 
Thompson earned the distinction after earning a 3.66 GPA while majoring in communication disorders and deaf education. Thompson led the Aggies this season with 279 total digs, averaging 2.41 per set. Thompson also added 84 assists and ranked third on the team with 31 service aces. Thompson was named academic all-MW a MW scholar-athlete as a redshirt freshman last year.
