LOGAN, Utah – After opening the 2024-25 campaign with a perfect 7-0 start, Utah State's men's basketball team checks in at No. 14 in the NCAA's first official NET rankings of the year.
The Aggies are one of 17 unbeaten teams remaining in the country, opening the year with seven-straight wins. This is the ninth 7-0 start in program history, while head coach Jerrod Calhoun is off to the second-best start as an Aggie coach in program history.
Utah State is coming fresh off of a tournament win at the NIT Season Tip-Off, where it secured the title by defeating St. Bonaventure (57 NET) and North Texas (59 NET). Prior to that, the team secured its first win over a Big Ten opponent in over a decade when it took down Iowa (54 NET) in Kansas City on Nov. 22.
This is the highest NET ranking for the Aggies since Dec. 22, 2022, when they also reached No. 14. Last season's squad spent the entire year in the top 40, but never peaked higher than No. 18.
UP NEXT
Utah State will now return home for four-straight games at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The Aggies open Mountain West play on Wednesday, Dec. 4, hosting Wyoming at 7 p.m.
