• Utah State is set for part two of a three-game road trip to conclude the 2024 calendar year, its first true road games of the season. This is perhaps the most difficult stretch of games on the schedule, all three road games being against top-60 NET teams: Saint Mary's (49 at the time), San Diego State (43) and Nevada (56). As the NET rankings currently sit, Utah State is 2-0 in Quad 1 games with three remaining on the schedule, including each of the next two.
• USU is 4-0 away from home this year, with neutral site wins over Iowa, St. Bonaventure and North Texas, and a road win at Saint Mary's.
• Currently 11-1, this is tied for the fifth-best start to a season in program history. The Aggies opened the year with 10-straight wins, the team's best-ever start to a year.
• Utah State sophomore guard Mason Falslev leads the Aggies in points (17.3), rebounds (6.5) and steals (2.2) per game, and is one of just two players in the country this season averaging at least 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals per contest.
• Fifth year guard Ian Martinez has scored in double-figures in every contest this year. He ranks first in the Mountain West in free throws made (69), second in free throw percentage (.908), sixth in scoring average (17.0), eighth in 3-pointers made (2.1), 11th in assists (3.4) and 13th in assist/turnover ratio (1.78).
• Falslev and Martinez are one of just two duos in the country that each average at least 17 points and three assists per contest. They are also one of just nine pairs in the nation that each average 17 or more points.
• Utah State ranks No. 29 in the most recent NET rankings and are the highest ranked team in the Mountain West. The Aggies jumped 13 spots following their win over Saint Mary's.
• USU is receiving votes in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches poll.
• This will be the 31st all-time meeting between Utah State and San Diego State, a series which began in 1962. SDSU leads the series 20-10 including a 10-1 record over USU in San Diego. The sides met three times last year, each winning on their own court, then the Aztecs defeating Utah State in the MW Tournament.
• All-time against AP Top 25 teams, Utah State is 20-110 (.154).
