LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis (3-0, 0-0 MW) competes in its fourth match of the 2024 competition season by taking on Idaho State Friday, Feb. 2, at noon on the Bengal's home court.

LAST WEEK 
Utah State men's tennis posted a pair of road wins at UC San Diego (0-7) on Saturday by final scores of 4-2 and 4-0. In the first match, the Aggies (3-0) took the lead early, earning the doubles point. Freshman Stefan Vedouelli and graduate senior Bodin Zarkovic won 6-1 at the second position, and freshman Mohammad Alkotop and junior Sergi Micó Fenollar posted a 6-3 win at the third position. In singles play, senor Stijn Paardekooper won in three sets at the No. 2 spot (3-6, 6-4, 6-2), Fenollar won at the No. 3 spot in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) and Alkotop won in three sets at the No. 5 spot (4-6, 6-2, 6-1). In other action, Zarkovic fell at the No. 1 spot in straight sets (4-6, 4-6) and freshman Philipp Rein fell at the No. 6 spot in two sets (4-6, 4-6). In the second match, USU took the doubles point with a win a 6-1 win from Vedouelli and Zarkovic at the first position, and a 6-0 win from junior David Martirosian and Rein at the third position. In singles play, Zarkovic won in straight sets at the No. 1 spot (6-0, 6-0), Alkotop won in straight sets at the No. 4 spot (6-0, 6-0) and Rein won in straight sets at the No. 5 spot (6-1, 6-0). The rest of the singles matches remained unfinished.
