LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's golf team will travel to Indian Wells, California, this week to compete in the Wyoming Desert Match Play Tournament on Monday and Tuesday, February 19-20 at the Indian Wells Golf Resort.
The Indian Wells Golf course is a par 72 and measures 7,376 yards.
CS Fullerton is seeded No. 1 and will face No. 8 UC Santa Barbara in the opening round Monday. Also in the upper bracket is No. 4 Wyoming and No. 5 UC Irvine, with tee times set for 8:40 a.m. (MT).
In the lower half of the bracket, No. 2 Colorado meets No. 7 Utah State and No. 3 Pacific takes on No. 6 Sacramento State.

Julio Arronte Sanchez (Xalapa,Veracruz, Mexico), junior
Luis Gerardo Cantu (Monterrey, Mexico), junior
Esteban Jaramillo (Bogota, Colombia) and freshman
Enrique Karg (Guadalajara, Mexico).
This will be Utah State's first event of its spring season after competing in five tournaments last fall. In its last competition, USU won the team title at the inaugural Monterrey, Mexico Collegiate Classic with a school-record 29-under 835. The victory marked Utah State's 22nd team title in program history, including its first since the 2020-21 campaign. The 29-under was 12 strokes better than the previous program record for a 54-hole score, which the Aggies shot during the 2022-23 season at the UC San Diego Invitational. Sanchez led the Aggies as he placed second with a career-best 15-under 202, which ranks fifth all-time for the lowest 54-hole score in program history.
Cantu leads Utah State this season with a stroke average of 70.67 over three rounds. Sanchez has a stroke average of 71.42 over 12 rounds, Jaramillo has a stroke average of 72.92 over 12 rounds, Karg has a stroke average of 73.17 over six rounds and Cook has a stroke average of 74.44 over nine rounds.
