Box Score LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's tennis improved to 8-1 on the spring season after posting a 5-2 home win against Idaho State (6-5). This is the second time the Aggies and Bengals have faced off this season, with Utah State coming out on top both times. 
 
The Aggies earned the doubles point to start the match. At the No. 2 spot, senior Bodin Zarkovic and freshman Stefan Vendovelli won 6-2. At the No. 1 spot, senior Stijn Paardekooper and sophomore Nuno Pinheiro won 7-6 (10) in a tiebreak to clinch the match's first point.
 
Pinheiro started singles play with a sweep at the fourth position (7-5, 6-3), and at the third position, junior Sergi Micó Fenollar won in straight sets (7-5, 6-4). Zarkovic had the match-clinching point as he won at the No. 1 spot in three sets (6-2, 5-7, 6-2). 
 
At the fourth position, Paardekooper won in a tiebreak in three sets (6-4, 3-6, 7-6(6)), at the No. 5 position, Vendovelli fell in straight sets (4-6, 1-6) and at the No. 6 position, freshman Philipp Rein fell in three sets (6-2, 4-6, 1-0(8). 
 
USU will head to San Antonio, Texas, to play in back-to-back matches. On Saturday, March 1, the Aggies will face off with UTSA at a neutral sight at noon (MT), and on Sunday, March 2,  they will face off against UT Arlington at noon (MT).
