Box Score LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's tennis defeated LMU at home 7-0 on Sunday. The Aggies improve to 10-2 with the win and LMU falls to 5-5 with the loss.
 
The Aggies started the match by clinching the doubles point. Junior Sergi Micó Fenollar and graduate senior Bodin Zarkovic posted a 6-2 win at the second position, while senior Stijn Paardekooper and sophomore Nuno Pinheiro notched a 6-2 win at the first position.
 
Fenollar earned the first singles point in straight sets at the No. 3 spot (6-1, 6-2). Zarkovic won in two sets at the No. 1 spot (6-2, 6-3). And Paardekooper secured the victory for the Aggies by winning in straight sets at the No. 2 spot (6-2, 6-4).
 
In other action, Pinheiro won in three sets at the No. 4 spot (5-7, 6-3, 1-0(5)), freshman Mohammad Alkotop won in straight sets at the No. 5 spot (6-0, 6-1) and freshman Philipp Rein won in straight sets at the No. 6 spot (6-2).
 
Utah State will be back in action on Friday, March 15, when it plays at Weber State at 11:30 a.m. The two teams met earlier this year in Logan with USU posting a 6-1 win.
