Box Score LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's tennis won at Weber State 7-0 Friday afternoon. This is the second match in a row the Aggies have posted a sweep over their opponents. USU improves to 11-2 on the season and Weber State falls to 4-10 on the season.
 
The Aggies started the match by clinching the doubles point. Junior Sergi Micó Fenollar and graduate senior Bodin Zarkovic posted a 6-1 win at the No. 2 spot to start doubles. At the No. 3 spot, freshman Mohammad Alkotop and junior David Martirosian won 6-4. 
 
The Aggies did not lose a single point during the match today. At the No. 1 spot, Zarkovic won in straight sets (7-6(3), 7-5), at the No. 2 spot, senior Stijn Paardekooper won in three sets (2-6, 6-3, 7-5) and Fenollar won in straight sets at the No. 3 spot (6-4, 6-2).
 
Sophomore Nuno Pinheiro won in two sets at the No. 4 spot (6-2, 6-3), Alkotop won in straight sets at the No. 5 spot 7-5, 6-2 and freshman Philipp Rein won in two sets at the No. 6 spot (7-5, 6-4).
 
USU will be back in action next weekend. The team is set to compete in the Boise State Tournament on Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23 in Eagle, Idaho.
