EAGLE, Idaho – Utah State men's tennis posted a 4-0 win against Idaho Saturday morning to advance to the championship match of the Boise State Spring Fling.
 
Utah State improves to 13-2 on the season with the win and Idaho falls to 3-10 with the loss. 
 
The Aggies started the match by clinching the doubles point. Junior Sergi Micó Fenollar and graduate senior Bodin Zarkovic posted a 6-1 win at the second position, while senior Stijn Paardekooper and sophomore Nuno Pinheiro notched a 6-1 win at the second position to clinch the doubles point. 
 
In singles, freshman Phillip Rein won in straight sets at the No. 6 spot (6-2, 6-3), followed by Zarkovic winning in straight sets at the No. 1 spot. USU then won the match when freshman Mohammad Alkotop won at the No.5 spot in straight sets (6-3, 6-2). 
 
Paardekooper, Fenollar and Pinheiro did not finish their singles matches as the Aggies were first to four points to finish the match. 
 
The Aggies will play in the championship match tonight against Boise State.
