Chloe Hirst will be one of two Mountain West coaches to coach the 2024 Mountain West Global Challenge roster. Graduate middle blocker
Kelsey Watson will represent USU on the 12-member MW team that will travel to Europe from July 12-21, making stops in Croatia, Italy and Slovenia.
Hirst and Colorado State assistant coach Ted Kopacz will lead the MW team while overseas. The team consists of four outside hitters, three middle blockers, two opposite side hitters, two setters and a libero.
The team will leave the United States on July 12, flying to Maribo, Slovenia, to train and compete. The team will then travel to Pula, Croatia, for the opening ceremony on July 15. Matches will be played July 16-19, with the team flying to Venice, Italy, on July 20 and returning home on July 21. Past tournament participants have included club and country federation teams from Slovenia, Russia, Romania, Germany, Bosnia, Montenegro, China, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Denmark and Puerto Rico, plus USA youth national, junior national and collegiate national teams.
