LOGAN, Utah – Graduate senior Bodin Zarkovic and senior Stijn Paardekoooper both posted wins in their singles and doubles matches on Sunday to lead Utah State to a 7-0 victory against UNLV in its home finale at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club. Both players were honored prior to the match as they played their final home contest of their USU career.
 
With the win, Utah State (17-4, 4-1 MW) posted a perfect home-court record during Mountain West play. UNLV fell to 8-9 on the season and 1-2 in conference play.
 
Paardekooper and sophomore Nuno Pinheiro started the match with a 6-1 win at the first doubles position, while Zarkovic and junior Sergi Micó Fenollar posted a 6-2 win at the second position to claim the doubles point for the Aggies.
 
In singles play, Zarkovic won his match in straight sets at the No. 1 spot (7-6 (5), 7-5 (5). At the No. 2 spot, Paardekooper posted a straight sets win (6-4, 6-3), and at the No. 3 spot, Fenollar won his match in straight sets. (6-3, 6-2).
 
Freshman Mohammad Alkotop posted a straight sets win at the No. 4 spot (6-4, 6-3) and Pinheiro won in three sets at the No. 5 spot (6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5)). In the last singles matches, freshman Philipp Rein posted a straight sets win at the No. 6 spot (6-3, 6-3).
 
Utah State will conclude its regular season this weekend as it plays at Mountain West-foe San Diego State on Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m. (MT).
