LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head men's basketball coach Jerrod Calhoun announced the signing of Isaac Davis on Tuesday. Davis is an incoming freshman and will have four years of eligibility.

Davis, a 6-foot-8, 240-pound forward, is a three-star recruit, the top prospect in the state of Idaho and the No. 119 overall player in the nation according to 247Sports.com. Davis led Hillcrest High School in Idaho Falls to back-to-back Class 4A state championships as a sophomore and junior, and a runner-up finish as a senior. He was named the Post Register All-Area Player of the Year as a junior and senior, and earned all-state honors in each of his three years as a starter.

"Isaac comes from a great program and has had a high level of success, not only in high school, but also at the grass roots level," said Calhoun. "He will give us some real versatility on the front line with his size, skill and athleticism.

"We want to continue to attract some of the top high school basketball players in the country, and particularly in our region, and we were able to accomplish that with the signing of Isaac."

During his senior season, Davis averaged 16.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. As a junior, he averaged 17.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game. And as a sophomore, he averaged 18.3 points and 12.3 rebounds.

As a senior, Davis led Hillcrest HS to a 19-7 record, including a perfect 10-0 conference mark, and its third-straight appearance in the state championship game, where he scored 23 points and added 13 rebounds.

During his junior season, Davis led the Knights to a 25-1 record and their second straight Idaho 4A state title. In the 62-58 championship-game victory over Pocatello HS, he finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists while being named the top defensive player during the tournament.

As a sophomore, he led the Knights to their first 4A state title in program history where he was named Most Valuable Player. He recorded an 18-point, 15-rebound double-double in the championship game, after a 23-point, 15-rebound performance in the semifinals.
