LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head softball coach Todd Judge announced the signing of a pair of transfers on Tuesday, adding Kenzee Hale and Olivia Marble to the 2025 roster.
Hale, an infielder from Newton, Utah, joins the Aggies as a transfer from College of Southern Idaho. She spent the past two seasons at CSI, helping the Eagles to a combined 92-34 record with a pair of national tournament appearances and a Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) championship in 2023.
While at College of Southern Idaho, Hale started 123 of 124 games played, compiling 124 hits, 100 RBIs, 24 home runs and 56 stolen bases. She earned all-region second team honors in 2024 after posting a .366 (71-for-194) batting average, including 16 doubles, three triples and 11 home runs with 58 RBIs. She also set a program record for stolen bases in a season with 44 steals in 50 attempts.
"The main reason we're excited about bringing Kenzee on is that we need to get more athletic and we need to get faster. She had over 40 stolen bases last year at College of Southern Idaho, and that's a big area of focus for us," Judge said. "She's also a strong hitter who had 10-plus home runs last year and she can play multiple positions for us as a utility player."
Hale prepped at Ridgeline High School in Millville, Utah, where she was a four-year letterwinner. There, she was recognized as a first-team all-state selection and was named the Herald Journal All-Valley Softball Player of the Year in 2021. As a senior in 2022, Hale helped the Riverhawks to a 4A state championship as she posted a .375 batting average with nine home runs and 24 stolen bases. She also played club softball for CV Vengeance.
Marble, an outfielder from Deweyville, Utah, joins the Aggies as a transfer from Abilene Christian. She spent the past two seasons with the Wildcats, starting all 98 games and compiling 99 hits with 24 doubles and 47 RBIs. As a junior in 2024, she earned all-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) second team honors as she ranked second on the team with a .377 batting average (57-for-151), while recording a team-best 17 stolen bases on 20 attempts. Marble also ranked second on the squad in both slugging percentage (.550) and on base percentage (.427), while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 87 putouts and one assist.
Prior to her time at ACU, Marble spent her freshman year at College of Southern Idaho in 2022. There, she was an all-conference and all-region second team honoree as she helped the Eagles to NJCAA Region 18 regular season and tournament championships and a ninth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament as the team compiled a 48-13 overall record. While starting all 58 games, Marble totaled 80 hits and 81 runs scored with a .410 batting average and a 1.229 OPS.
"One of the things we're really trying to do this offseason is to get more athletic in our outfield, and Olivia brings exactly that. She had just a single error in two years with over 200 attempts so we feel she can bring us a boost in that area," Judge said. "She had 17 stolen bases last year, and she's also a very efficient hitter. Olivia is exactly the type of player we're trying to build our program on."
Marble prepped at Bear River High School in Garland, Utah, where she was a four-year letterwinner. She helped her team to three region championships and two state titles in her time with the Bears. As a senior in 2021, she earned all-state and all-region first team accolades as she posted a .402 batting average with 11 doubles, 26 RBIs and 57 runs scored. She was also named the 4A state tournament MVP.
