LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball was honored with the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday. In addition to the award, Utah State also earned the Team Academic Honor Roll distinction, representing the top 20 percent of team GPAs among Division I volleyball programs.

The complete Team Academic Award list includes teams from the Division I, II and III ranks, two-year colleges and also high schools who maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3, with a record-total of over 1,400 teams earning the award this year.

Utah State was one of six Mountain West teams and one of six Division I teams from the Beehive State on the overall list. The Aggies were one of only two MW programs to be named to the Team Academic Honor Roll, while USU was joined by only Weber State and Southern Utah among in-state schools to receive the honor.

Utah State opens its 2024 season on Friday, Aug. 30, against Green Bay in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah Tournament and begins its home season on Friday, Sept. 6, against California.
