LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis head coach Aaron Paajanen announced the addition of Petros Alex to the coaching staff as an assistant coach.

"We are all excited to work with Petros this year, and I know he is excited to be at Utah State," Paajanen said. "His experience working with a veteran coaching staff at Oregon will be huge in helping the team move closer to fulfilling goals and expectations."

Alex previously worked on staff as an assistant coach at Oregon during the 2023-24 season. During his season at Oregon, he helped the team place sixth in the Pac-12 with a 15-13 overall dual season record.

"I'm super excited to be joining Utah State," Alex said. "This team has been very successful in the Mountain West Conference, as well as the national level. I'm very grateful to be working with Aaron and excited to see what we can do."

Prior to coaching, Alex played division I tennis at North Dakota, where he posted 12 career singles and doubles wins. He was named to the ITA Academic Team (2019-2023), AD Honor Roll (2019-2023) and the President's List in 2021.
