• Utah State and Robert Morris have never met. In fact, this will be USU's first-ever game against a Northeast Conference opponent.

• Utah State University and its football program will celebrate its agricultural history by unveiling an ag-themed alternate helmet in its season- and home-opener against Robert Morris.
• Utah State returns 12 starters (O-6, D-6) as part of 34 letterwinners (O-17, D-13, S-4) from last year's team that posted a 6-7 record, including a 4-4 record in the Mountain West, and concluded its season by playing in its 11th bowl game in the past 13 years against Georgia State (L, 45-22) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in Boise, Idaho.

Nate Dreiling, who was elevated from defensive coordinator on July 2, is the youngest head coach at the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level as he is 33 years old.
• Utah State is playing a home game to start its season for the first time since 2022 and for just the 16th time since the 1959 season as USU is 10-5 (.667) in those games. Overall, USU has won each of its last four season openers at home with a 31-20 win against UConn in 2022, a 45-6 win against Weber State in 2016, a 12-9 win against Southern Utah in 2015 and a 34-3 win against Southern Utah in 2012.
• Utah State is 14-1 in its last 15 home openers, which includes a current 14-game winning streak against non-conference opponents. USU is also 5-7 in its last 12 season openers overall with six of those seven losses coming on the road to Power 4 opponents.
• Utah State has won 10 of its last 14 non-conference home games and is 22-7 in its last 29 non-conference home games at Maverik Stadium. Overall, USU is 50-22 (.694) in its last 72 home games and 162-118 (.579) all-time inside Maverik Stadium.
• Along with 34 returning lettermen (O-17, D-13, S-4), which includes 12 returning starters (O-6, D-6), Utah State welcomes back 17 redshirts (O-8, D-8, S-1) and five other returners (O-4, D-1) that were members of the program in 2023, while adding 50 newcomers (O-21, D-28, S-1), which includes 23 four-year transfers, 14 junior college transfers and 13 high school players.
• Utah State's 50 newcomers are the fourth-most in the Mountain West behind New Mexico (59), San Diego State (58) and Nevada (55), and tied for the 27th-most in the nation. USU's 38 transfers (23 four-year, 15 junior college) are the second-most in the MW behind New Mexico (42) and the fourth-most in the nation.
