LOGAN, Utah - After helping the Utah State soccer team to a 2-0 win over Texas Tech on Sunday, a pair of Aggies were honored by the Mountain West. Sophomore keeper Shay Kercher-Pratt was named the league's defensive player of the week, while freshman forward/midfielder Austin Miller earned freshman of the week honors. 

In what was the second start of her collegiate career, Kercher-Pratt played all 90 minutes in goal to help USU blank 2023 Big 12 champion Texas Tech. The native of Broomfield, Colorado, recorded six saves in the game as Texas Tech fired off 15 shots, six of which were on goal. This is the first weekly honor of Kercher-Pratt's career. 
 
While making her first collegiate start, Miller scored the game-winner against Texas Tech, the first goal of her career. Her strike in the 15th minute put the Aggies up early. The native of Providence, Utah, played 40 minutes in the game, helping USU record a shutout. This is the first weekly honor of Miller's career.
 
UP NEXT
Utah State (3-0, 0-0 MW) hits the road for three-straight games against in-state opponents, beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 28, when the Aggies face Utah in Salt Lake City. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Fans can purchase season tickets now here. Adult season tickets are available for $45, while youth can gain access to all games by joining the Junior Aggie Kids Club for $25. All seating at Chuck and Gloria Bell Field is general admission. Seating in the stadium bleachers is first come, first served. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for grass and berm seating.
