KICKOFF COVERAGE
• Utah State is 9-9 all-time against current members of the American Athletic Conference and will be meeting Temple for the first time. USU's last game against an AAC opponent was in the 2022 SERVPRO First Responder Bowl when it lost to Memphis 38-10.
 
• Interim head coach Nate Dreiling, who was elevated from defensive coordinator on July 2, is the youngest head coach at the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level as he is 33 years old. Dreiling is just the 10th coach in program history to win his first game as head coach. He is also one of only two interim head coaches in the nation along with Fresno State's Tim Skipper.
 
• Utah State is 3-2 in its last five road games and has scored at least 30 points in each of those road wins. Over the last three-plus years, USU is 12-8 (.600) in road games.
 
• Utah State is 25-18 (.581) in games played during the month of September over the last 10 seasons, which includes an 8-12 (.400) road record, and is 5-5 all-time in known games played on Sept. 21. 
 
• Utah State will be playing in an NFL stadium for the first time since 2021 when it posted a 28-24 win against UNLV in Allegiant Stadium and a 24-13 win against Oregon State in the LA Bowl, which was played in SoFi Stadium. In fact, USU has won its last three games played in NFL stadiums as it also posted a 23-17 win in 2019 against San Diego State in San Diego Stadium.  
 
• Senior RB Rahsul Faison, who is from Pottstown, Pa., is fourth in the Mountain West and 34th in the nation in rushing yards per carry (6.18), fourth in the MW and 45th in the nation in rushing yards per game (82.3), and 10th in the MW in all-purpose yards (86.0). 
 
• Senior S Jordan Vincent is second in the Mountain West and 14th in the nation in tackles per game (10.7) and has posted double-digit tackles in each of his first three games this season.  
 
• Utah State is third in the Mountain West and 49th in the nation in rushing offense (176.7 yards per game), fourth in the MW and 67th in the nation in passing offense (230.0 ypg), and fifth in the MW and 65th in the nation in total offense (407.0 ypg).
