LOGAN, Utah – Utah State placekicker
Elliott Nimrod was named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in USU's 36-14 season-opening home win against Robert Morris on Saturday night. It is Nimrod's first-ever conference honor.

Elliott Nimrod, Placekicker (6-0, 185, G-Sr., Bentonville, Ark.)
- Made a career-high three field goals on a career-high three attempts.
- Made a career-long 50-yard field. Also made field goals from 36 and 42 yards.
- Was 3-of-4 on extra points as he scored 12 points in the game.
- Kicked off eight times, all touchbacks, which is a career high.
- Played in his 47th collegiate game, including his 40th at Utah State.

Utah State continues its 2024 season this weekend with a road game at USC on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 9 p.m. (MT). The game will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network.
