LOGAN, Utah — Utah State men's basketball climbed three spots in the AP Top 25 poll this week, moving up to No. 22. The Aggies are the top-ranked team in the Mountain West, while San Diego State and New Mexico also received votes. Additionally, USU is No. 22 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

This is the second-straight week the Aggies have been ranked, after making their season debut at No. 25 last week. Prior to that, they spent seven weeks receiving votes.

Utah State is 16-1 under first-year head coach Jerrod Calhoun, including a 6-0 mark in Mountain West play. This is tied for the third-best 17-game start to a season in program history, trailing the 2008-09 (24-1) and 2003-04 (20-1) teams, and tied with the 2023-24 (16-1) team.

As an AP ranked squad, Utah State has a 79-25 (.760) all-time record.

The Aggies, who are coming off an 85-78 win at San José State and an 81-79 home win over Boise State last week, boast the best record in the nation with a .941 win percentage. USU is one of just five one-loss teams, and the only team with 16 wins.

Utah State ranks in the top 50 in the nation in several major statistical categories, including winning percentage (1st - .941), assists (9th - 18.5), field goal percentage (19th - .496), fastbreak points (22nd - 15.29), scoring margin (23rd - +15.1), assist/turnover ratio (25th - 1.61), turnover margin (26th - +3.7), steals (29th - 9.3), scoring offense (30th - 83.2), bench points (35th - 29.76) and turnovers forced (39th - 15.18).
