Aggies Travel to Take on Air Force on Saturday

• Utah State enters the weekend 17-2 start and is 7-1 in Mountain West play. Utah State's .895 winning percentage is tied for the second best in Division I basketball this season. The only team ahead of the Aggies in win percentage is Auburn (.944 - 17-1). Just eight teams have 17 or more wins, and just nine teams have two or fewer losses.

• At 7-1, the Aggies sit at second in the MW standings, just a half game back of New Mexico with one less game played. 

• Currently 17-2, Utah State is off to its seventh-best start to a season in program history through at least 19 games. The only better starts were: 2008-09 (24-1), 2003-04 (25-2), 2010-11 (22-2), 2023-24 (19-2), 2000-01 (18-2) and 1959-60 (18-2).

• Aggie head coach Jerrod Calhoun has won 17 of his first 19 games at the helm of the program. His 17 wins are the most among first-year head coaches in Division I this season.

• Utah State ranks sixth in the nation with 18.9 assists per game. The program record for a season is 18.0 in 2021-22. The team's assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.67 ranks 10th nationally. On the season, USU has 360 total assists with just 215 turnovers.

• After spending the past two weeks ranked in the AP Top 25, USU fell just outside the rankings this week. The Aggies are the second team out of the poll, receiving 38 votes. Utah State also received 26 votes in the USA Today Coaches poll, the fifth team outside the rankings.

• The Aggies are 7-1 away from home this year, four of those wins coming in true road games.

• USU currently holds an 8-2 record against Quad 1 and Quad 2 opponents. Only seven teams in the country have more combined Q1 and Q2 wins. 

• Utah State ranks in the top 50 in the nation in several major statistical categories, including winning percentage (2nd - .895), assists (6th - 18.9), assist/turnover ratio (10th - 1.67), field goal percentage (10th - .497), scoring margin (17th - +14.5), fastbreak points (26th - 14.68), scoring offense (28th - 82.5), steals (29th - 9.1), turnover margin (29th - +3.6), bench points (32nd (29.63) and turnovers forced (40th - 14.89).

• This will be the 35th all-time meeting between Utah State and Air Force, a series which began in 1963. The Aggies lead the series 27-7, including an 11-7 record over the Falcons at the Academy. The Aggies have won six-straight and seven of the past 10 meetings.
