Men's Basketball 1/27/2025 5:10:00 PM
• Utah State enters the weekend 18-2 and is 8-1 in Mountain West play. Utah State's .900 winning percentage is tied for the second best in Division I basketball this season. The only team ahead of the Aggies in win percentage is Auburn (.947 - 18-1). Just seven teams have 18 or more wins, and just seven teams have two or fewer losses.

• At 8-1, the Aggies sit at second in the MW standings, just a half game back of New Mexico with one less game played. USU can pull back to even with a win, as the Lobos have a bye.

• Currently 18-2, Utah State is off to its fifth-best start to a season in program history through at least 20 games. The only better starts were: 2008-09 (24-1), 2003-04 (25-2), 2010-11 (22-2) and 2023-24 (19-2). Other teams to start 18-2 were 2000-01 and 1959-60.

• Aggie head coach Jerrod Calhoun has won 18 of his first 20 games at the helm of the program. His 18 wins are the most among first-year head coaches in Division I this season.

• USU made 16 3-pointers in each of the past two games, the third team in Mountain West history to make 16-plus triples in back-to-back contests.

• Sophomore guard Mason Falslev is one of three players in the country this season to have totaled at least 47 steals and 125 rebounds. In Mountain West history, the only other player with those totals through 20 games was New Mexico's Danny Granger in 2004-05.

• Fifth year guard Ian Martinez ranks in the top-10 in the Mountain West in scoring average, free throw percentage, free throws made, 3-point percentage, 3-pointers made and assist/turnover ratio.

• Utah State ranks fifth in the nation with 19.1 assists per game. The program record for a season is 18.0 in 2021-22. The team's assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.71 ranks sixth nationally. On the season, USU has 382 total assists with just 224 turnovers.

• The Aggies are 10-1 at home this year, and have won 38 of their past 42 games in the Spectrum spanning back to the 2022-23 season.

• This will be the 51st all-time meeting between Utah State and UNLV, a series which began in 1983. The Rebels lead the series 35-15, including an 13-9 record over USU in Logan, but haven't won at the Spectrum since 2016. USU has won six of the past seven and 11 of the past 13 meetings.
