DIRECTOR OF TRACK & FIELD/CROSS COUNTRY ARTIE GULDEN
"Our team will be split this weekend. We have some distance runners competing in Washington since we like to try to get them to sea level 1-2 times per season. It will be great competition there and I expect our kids to rise to the challenge."
"The home meet continues to grow in size. We have over 600 entries this year for the meet. We are grateful that many of the schools in Utah will be bringing athletes to compete. It will result in some great events and competition.

His mark bested the previous record of 5.45 meters (17-10.5), which was set by Lance White in 1994 and matched by Mark Calvin in 1998.
