LOGAN, Utah – Utah State soccer head coach
Manny Martins announced the addition of Carli Conner, a transfer defender from Colorado Mesa who will join the squad in 2025.
Conner, a native of Fruita, Colorado, joins the Aggies as a graduate after spending five years and playing four seasons at Colorado Mesa and redshirting in 2022. There, she started 69 of a possible 71 games for the Mavericks, leading the team to a combined 51-14-6 record with a pair of NCAA Division II Tournament appearances.
Conner earned all-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference first team honors in 2023 and 2024. During her four seasons on the backline for Colorado Mesa, the team boasted one of the nation's top defenses, allowing just a combined 0.85 goals per game with 33 shutouts. She also recorded one goal and 10 assists while taking 23 shots with the Mavericks.
Prior to her collegiate career, Conner prepped at Fruita (Colorado) Monument High School, where she led the Wildcats to back-to-back conference championships and was a first-team all-conference honoree as a senior. She also played club soccer for Fire FC.
Conner is the fourth transfer added to Utah State's signing class this offseason, joining defenders Abbie Kotter (BYU) and Emily Ibsen (Adams State) and goalkeeper Allee Grashoff (UC Riverside).
