LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's Bryson Barnes is one of 36 quarterbacks named to the Davey O'Brien QB Class of 2025 it was announced Thursday.
Barnes, who is now eligible for the 2025 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award, is one of two Mountain West players to make the list along with UNLV's Anthony Colandrea.
The list of semifinalists selected from the QB Class will be named on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The Foundation will announce the three finalists two weeks later (Tuesday, Nov. 25). The 2025 Davey O'Brien Award winner will be unveiled live on ESPN on Friday, Dec. 12, during The Home Depot College Football Awards.

Bryson Barnes, Quarterback (6-2, 210, Gr., Milford, Utah/Milford HS/Utah)
- Is 134-of-209 (.641) passing for 1,808 yards with 14 touchdowns and three interceptions this season.
- Has rushed for 367 yards on 104 carries (3.5 ypc) and seven touchdowns.
- His seven rushing touchdowns this year is one shy of tying the single season school record by a quarterback of eight that was set in 2012.
- Ranks first or second in the Mountain West in six different statistical categories. Overall, he is 13th in total touchdowns with 21, 17th in the nation in points responsible for per game at 16.3, 31st in passing touchdowns (14), and 35th in rushing touchdowns (7).
- Was named the MW Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Air Force as he accounted for 331 yards of total offense and a career-high five touchdowns as he was 17-of-22 passing for 287 yards and two touchdowns and added 44 rushing yards on 15 carries and a career-high three scores.
- Accounted for a career-high 421 yards of total offense and a career-high-tying five touchdowns against McNeese as he was 19-of-27 passing for 293 yards and a season-high three touchdowns with one interception. He rushed for a season-high 128 yards and scored two touchdowns on 13 carries.
- Passed for a career-high 326 yards and one touchdown and led the Aggies in rushing with 54 yards on 16 carries and another touchdown in a win against San José State.
- Has rushed and passed for at least one touchdown in the same game four times this year to lead the MW and tying him for ninth in the nation.
