LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball sophomore setter Kaylie Kofe has been named the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending on Sunday, Oct. 5. The award is voted on by a state-wide media panel.

With their sponsorship of the student-athlete of the week, America First Credit Union donates funds directly to support student-athlete scholarships.

It is Kofe's first time in her career being named the USU Student-Athlete of the Week.

Kofe led Utah State with 120 total assists during a pair of five-set home wins over San Jose State and Boise State last weekend. Kofe coordinated the offense to a .251 hitting percentage as a team during the week, including a .326 mark against BSU, the highest hitting percentage allowed by the Broncos this season. She posted a career-high 62 assists against Boise State, the most by any MW player this season and tied for the second-most nationally. Kofe's 62 assists are also the most by an Aggie in a single match since Erica Moscoso recorded 67 assists against UNLV in 2016. Against the Spartans, Kofe recorded 58 assists, the third-most by any MW player this season. Kofe added a total of five kills, three aces and two blocks on the week as she averaged 12.00 assists per set.
