LOGAN, Utah – After helping Utah State to a 2-0 showing last week, senior forward Garry Clark has been named the Mountain West Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Clark, a native of Saint Louis, Missouri, led the Aggies to an 83-73 win over Weber State, and a 75-51 win over UTEP. On the week, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting 90.9 percent (10-of-11) from the field and 61.9 percent (13-of-21) at the free throw line.
Against the Wildcats, Clark scored 13 points, to go along with five rebounds and a block, while shooting 5-of-5 from the floor and 3-of-5 from the free throw line. Against the Miners, he had a double-double with team-highs of 20 points, 13 rebounds and three steals, along with three assists, shooting 5-of-6 from the field and 10-of-16 at the free throw line.
Clark is the first Utah State player to earn Mountain West weekly accolades this season.

Utah State will hit the road for a pair of games next week, traveling to Charleston, South Carolina, for the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic. There, the Aggies will face Tulane on Friday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. (MT), then take on the winner of Boston College and Davison on Saturday, Nov. 23. Both games will be televised on ESPN2.
