• Utah State travels east for its annual MTE this week, playing a pair of neutral site games at the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic in Charleston, South Carolina. There, the Aggies will face Tulane on Friday, Nov. 23, and either Boston College or Davidson on Sunday, Nov. 25.

• The Aggies have won MTE titles in three of the past four years, going in 10-1 in MTE games since 2021-22. USU won the ESPN NIT Season Tip-Off last season, as well as the Cayman Islands Classic in 2023-24 and the Myrtle Beach Invitational in 2021-22.

• Utah State senior forward Garry Clark was named the Mountain West Player of the Week after averaging 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game off the bench in a pair of wins last week.

• Clark has recorded double-doubles in three of USU's four games this season, while averaging 14.0 points and 10.8 rebounds per contest.

• Senior guard MJ Collins Jr., a transfer from Vanderbilt, has been the Aggies' top scorer this season at 16.3 points per game. He's surpassed the 20-point scoring marker twice already this year, including a career-best 23 points against Westminster.

• Utah State is 4-0 to open the season for the fifth time in the past eight years. Last season, the Aggies got off to the best start to a year in program history at 10-0.

• USU welcomed in 10 newcomers to this year's squad, with five transfers and five true freshmen. Transfer additions include fifth year forward Garry Clark (Texas A&M-CC), senior guards MJ Collins Jr. (Vanderbilt) and Kolby King (Butler),  senior forward Zach Keller (Utah) and junior forward Luke Kearney (Air Force). Freshmen include guards Elijah Perryman (San Francisco, California) and Brayden Boe (Beaverton, Oregon), wings Kingston Tosi (Anchorage, Alaska) and Adlan Elamin (Arlington, Virginia) and forward David Iweze (Roanoke, Texas).

• The Aggies were picked to finish second by the league's media in the MW preseason poll, behind only San Diego State. This is USU's highest-projected finish since being picked first in 2019-20. Additionally, junior guard Mason Falslev was named to the preseason all-conference team.
