LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track and field student-athletes collected five Mountain West weekly honors, as announced by the league on Tuesday. Freshman Adia Ross won MW Women's Track Athlete and Freshman of the Week, sophomore Presley Gray won MW Women's Field Athlete of the Week, sophomore Ayodele Ojo won MW Men's Track Athlete of the Week and senior Logan Hammer won MW Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Ross broke the Utah State record in the women's 60 meters with a time of 7.48 at the BYU December Invitational last week. In her first-ever indoor 60-meter competition, she bested the previous school record of 7.49, which was set in 1987 by Lola Ogunde, to place fourth in the event finals. The Tokyo, Japan, native ranks third in the conference in the event and first among freshmen. Overall, Ross ranks as the 10th-fastest freshman and 46th-fastest athlete in the nation in the 60 meters.

Gray won the high jump at the Idaho State Winter Open last week with a height of 1.79 meters (5-10.5). Her effort moved her into fourth all-time in the high jump in Aggie history, beating her previous personal best by two inches. Gray's performance ranks as the second-best in the MW and seventh-best in the nation this season.

Ojo won the men's 60 meters with a time of 6.70 at the BYU December Invitational, which moved him from sixth to third in USU history in the event. His time is the third-fastest in the MW this season and 15th-best in Division I.

Hammer broke his own school record in the pole vault at the BYU December Invitational, winning the competition by almost two feet with a clearance of 5.63 meters (18-5.5). His record-setting jump ranks third in MW history in the event and fourth in the nation this season. The three-time All-American topped his previous indoor record of 5.61 meters (18-4.75), which he set in February and matched at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in March.

Hammer earned his eighth career MW weekly accolade, becoming the first Utah State track and field athlete to earn eight or more MW weekly accolades since Dillon Maggard earned nine from 2017-18. Gray and Ojo earned the second weekly awards of their careers, having earned MW Freshman of the Week honors last indoor season and outdoor season, respectively. Ross became the first Aggie to win MW weekly honors after her first collegiate meet.

This is the first time Utah State has claimed five weekly track and field honors in a single week, beating the previous high of four set on Jan. 21. Aggie women swept the weekly awards for the first time since Cierra Simmons-Mecham and Brenn Flint claimed the track athlete and field athlete honors, respectively, in 2017.

Utah State will take a break from competition until the New Year, when they will head to the Weber State Indoor Invitational in Ogden, Utah, on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 9-10.
