Aggies Return Home to Take on San José State on Wednesday

• Utah State ranks in the top 50 in the nation in several major statistical categories, including assists (5th - 18.5), winning percentage (6th - .846), field goal percentage (7th - .497), assist/turnover ratio (9th - 1.66), steals (22nd - 9.2), scoring margin (23rd - +11.8), fastbreak points (25th - 14.12), scoring offense (25th - 81.7), turnover margin (28th - +3.4), bench points (30th - 29.19) and turnovers forced (38th - 14.54).

• USU has one of the most well-balanced and efficient offenses in the country this season. The team's offensive rating of 119.1 ranks 10th nationally. The Aggies rank seventh in the country in field goal percentage field goal percentage (.497) and are sixth in 2-point field goal percentage (.588).

• The Aggies rank fifth in the nation with 18.5 assists per game. The program record for a season is 18.0 in 2021-22. The team's assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.66 ranks seventh nationally. On the season, USU has 480 total assists with just 289 turnovers.

• Sophomore guard Mason Falslev is one of three players in the country this season to have totaled at least 63 steals and 161 rebounds. He is also one of just three players currently averaging at least 14 points, six rebounds, 3.5 assists and two steals per game.

• Falslev ranks first in the Mountain West and 12th in the nation with 2.38 steals per game.

• Fifth year guard Ian Martinez ranks in the top-10 in the Mountain West in scoring average, free throw percentage, free throws made, 3-point field goals made and field goal percentage. 

• Aggie head coach Jerrod Calhoun has won 22 of his first 26 games at the helm of the program. His 22 wins are the second-most most among first-year head coaches in Division I this season.

• USU's .846 winning percentage is tied for the sixth-best in Division I basketball this season. The only teams ahead of the Aggies in win percentage are Auburn (.920 - 23-2), Drake (.885 - 23-3), Duke (.880 - 22-3), Florida (.880 - 22-3) and Saint Mary's (.852 - 23-4). Tied with USU at 22-4 are New Mexico, St. John's, UC Irvine and UC San Diego.  

• This will be the 96th all-time meeting between Utah State and San José State, a series which began in 1935. The Aggies lead the series 72-23, including an 41-4 advantage in Logan. USU has won 33 of the past 35 meetings overall, with SJSU's last win in Logan coming in 1982.
