OGDEN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis extended its winning streak to three with a 4-1 win at Weber State on Thursday afternoon at the Ogden Athletic Club. USU improved to 9-6 on the season with the victory.
  
Doubles 
In a tightly contested battle for the doubles point, the Wildcats ultimately took the early win with wins at the first and third positions, including a tiebreak decision at the top spot. Sophomore Mohammad Alkotop and freshman Dmitri Goubin had also battled to a tiebreak at the second position before the match was abandoned.
 
Singles 
The Aggies stormed back in dominant fashion in singles play with four straight-set victories to take the match. At the No. 1 position, senior Sergi Micó Fenollar tied the match at 1-1 a 6-4, 6-1 win. Senior David Martirosian followed soon after with a 6-1, 6-4 win at the third position to push USU in front. Alkotop scored a 6-1, 6-3 victory at the second position to put Utah State up 3-1. Freshman Roman Venger then won the race for the clinching point, winning at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-3, to secure the win for the Aggies.
 
At the fifth spot, freshman Eliot Nobel led in a decisive third set, 4-6, 6-4, 3-0, when the match was abandoned. Goubin also held a one-set advantage, 7-5, 2-5, at the sixth position before the clinching point was earned.

Utah State returns to the Sports Academy & Racquet Club to host Montana State on Sunday, March 9, at noon.
