• Following Saturday's game, Utah State will honor its three graduating seniors with a senior day ceremony. The three seniors include guard
Ian Martinez, guard
Dexter Akanno and forward
Aubin Gateretse.
• USU will soon turn its attention to post-season play. The Mountain West Tournament will take place from March 12-15 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. With a win on Saturday, the Aggies can clinch the 3-seed in the Mountain West Tournament. With a loss and a Boise State win over Colorado State, they would fall to the 4-seed.
• Utah State is one victory away from the 12th 25-win season in program history. The team's 10 25-win seasons since 2000 rank tied for 12th most in Division I basketball.
• Graduate guard
Dexter Akanno, in his fifth and final year of college basketball, is coming up on a major career milestone as he is just nine points away from career point number 1,000.
• Sophomore guard
Mason Falslev is one of two players in the country this season to have totaled at least 69 steals and 182 rebounds. He is also one of just three players currently averaging at least 14 points, six rebounds, 3.5 assists and two steals per game.
• Falslev ranks first in the Mountain West and 17th in the nation with 2.30 steals per game.
• Fifth year guard
Ian Martinez ranks in the top-10 in the Mountain West in scoring average, free throw percentage, free throws made, 3-point field goals made and field goal percentage. He also holds the third-longest streak of double-digit scoring games in the nation at 33.
• Should the Aggies make the NCAA Tournament this year, they would become just the second team in NCAA history to make it to three-straight NCAA Tournaments with three different non-interim head coaches.
• Utah State is 14-2 in games played at home this season.
• This will be the 36th all-time meeting between Utah State and Air Force, a series which dates back to 1963. The Aggies lead the series 28-7, including a perfect 15-0 record in games played in Logan. USU has won seven-straight and 10 of the past 11 meetings overall, including an 87-58 win earlier this year in Colorado.
